Meg Ryan

Meg Ryan is a blonde-haired blue-eyed, blonde-haired woman who has a vibrant personality. Her birth name is Margaret Mary Emily Hyra to Susan (Duggan) and was who was an English teacher, and also a one-time actress. Harry Hyra was a math teacher. Ruthenian and Polish, Irish, German, and German descent. "Hyra" is her maternal grandmother's maiden name, is Ruthenian. Meg graduated from Bethel high school, Bethel in June 1979. She then moved to New York and majored as a journalist at New York University. Meg Ryan is her new name, stepped into acting to make extra money as she finished her education. 1981 was her debut on the big screen. She portrayed Candice Bergen's little girl in the film by George Cukor Rich and Famous (1981). She auditioned , and was chosen to play Betsy in the daily television soap as the World turns (1956). She was in the cast from 1982 until 1984. Meg also played a role in the TV show One of the Boys (1982) but the show was eventually removed. In 1984, she relocated to a tinsel town, and got her first job with the western television Series Wildside (1985). Meg was in a small part in Top Gun (1986), which led her to be cast in Steven Spielberg's Innerspace (1987), where she co-starred with Dennis Quaid. In D.O.A.'s remake, she once again played alongside Dennis Quaid. (1988) They got married on Saint Valentine's Day 1991. In 1989, Meg appeared in When Harry Met Sally... (1989) and the scene in the restaurant became famous. Meg was nominated both the Golden Globe and the BAFTA. In 1990, she co-starred with Tom Hanks in Joe Versus the Volcano (1990) and this time she played three roles as DeDe/Angelica/Patricia. She starred with Tom in the hugely successful Sleepless in Seattle (1993) and was nominated for the Golden Globe. Meg chose to be different from her peers in 1994, by playing the part of Meg as a mother and wife who is alcoholic in the film When a Man Loves a Woman (1994). Following that, she went back to "cute" with both I.Q. (1994) as well as French Kiss (1995). People Magazine named Meg "Woman of the Year" in 1994 with the Harvard Hasty Pudding Award.
