Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush, an American pop-punk band
formed in 2009, is a pop group from America. The group is comprised of Kendall
Schmidt and James Maslow as well as Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. The
group initially signed with Nick Records in 2009 before switching to Columbia
Records. They were featured in Nickelodeon's TV show, Big Time Rush. From
November 28th, 2009 to July 25 of 2013, the show aired. The pilot episode
showcased the group's first promo single, "Big Time Rush". The group
released three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate (2011) as well as
24/Seven (2013). The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2014 which lasted
until 2021, when they resumed live shows and released the single "Call It
Like I See It". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush a record contract in 2009
and was simultaneously airing the tv show Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon joined
forces with Columbia/Epic Label Group in order to develop the show and also
provide music that was original to the series. Their first single, "Big Time
Rush" was featured on the show' November 29th 2009. Officially announced
by Nickelodeon in November 2009, the show was first broadcast for the time in
the Americas. The single was then released internationally. The series
premiered on a special preview of the series. The theme is the current theme
for the show's opening. Promo singles such as "City is Ours",
"Any Kind of Guy" and more were released during the show. Big Time
Rush also covered a Play song called "Famous". It was released to
iTunes on June 29, 2010. Another track, "Halfway There", was released
to iTunes on April 27, 2010 following its debut on the series. The track
quickly became the band's first single to be charted on the Billboard Hot 100,
peaking at number 93 thanks to the sales of digital music. The second single
from Big Time Rush, "Till You Forget About You" was released on
September 21 the 21st of September, 2010. The purpose of the release was to
announce the release of their debut album. The album, which is titled BTR It
was released on October 11, 2010. The album was released at number three on the
Billboard 200. It sold 67,000 copies within its first week.
