Brooke Christa Shields Bio

Brooke Christa Shields (born May 31 1965) is a famous American model and actress. When she was 12, she was a child model. She received critical acclaim for her part in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling through her teens, and was featured in several dramas throughout the 1980s including The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Franco Zeffirelli’s Endless Love (1981). In 1983 Shields left her modeling career to go to Princeton University where she received the degree of bachelor's in Romance Languages. Shields returned to acting in the late 1990s, and was seen in small parts in films. She also appeared in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-202000), where she was nominated two Golden Globes. Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009) was her second nomination. Shields returned to NBC in 2017 for the role of a regular Law & Order: Special Victims unit character in the 19th season of the show. Shields portrays Beverly Goodman in Adult Swim's animated show Mr. Pickles since 2014. Mr. Pickles since 2014. Brooke Christa Shields is a New Yorker who was born May 31st, 1965 in Manhattan. She is the daughter and businessman Frank Shields (1941-1903). Her mother was of English, German, Scotch-Irish, and Welsh descent, while her father had English, French, Irish, and Italian ancestry.According to the research of William Addams Reitwiesner, Shields has ancestral connections to numerous noble families from Italy particularly those from Genoa as well as Rome. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Her paternal grandmother was Italian noblewoman Marina Torlonia di Zivitella-Cesi who was the daughter of an Italian prince and an American socialite. Her great-uncle was Italian nobleman Alessandro Torlonia, the husband of Infanta Beatriz of Spain.When Teri announced that she was pregnant, the family of Frank gave her a payment to terminate the pregnancy.
